CFT Church Youth Group Printed by Light Prints
Screen printed team coloured t-shirts. For a fun filled youth week!
Summertime is a hectic time of year at Light Prints HQ. The summer of 2011 was no exception, we had the chance to work with some really great people & organisations, especially the inspiring young people over at the Christ Faith Tabernacle youth group in New Cross, South East London. Every year, during the school summer holidays, they run a week long program for the kids in the local area. During the week the kids are engaged with games, taken on trips and encouraged to stand out from the crowd and be leaders in their respective communities.
Each year they divide themselves into four teams:
- Yellow AKA The Bee’s Knees…..Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
- Blue AKA Deeper than the deep blue sea……Splasssssssshhhhhh!!!
- Red AKA Red hot, coming for that top spot!!!
- Green AKA Evergreen!!! The mean machine
We screen-printed around 300 T-shirts for the various teams, with the same design on the front in the four different colours, “Individually we are strong, together we are stronger,” inspired from a verse in the Bible (Eph: 4:2-3). This was a great theme and really impressed us, especially as during this time a lot of London’s youth we’re involved in the infamous London riots. Youth groups like these give us hope for the future, we hope to work with them again soon.
